A summary of news related to our campaign:
- The organisers of the Staffordshire University Top Fan Project, recently spoke about their research on “Thinking Allowed” on BBC Radio 4. The podcast of their appearance is now available for download here. They are featured in the second half of the show, so to listen to their portion please fast forward to 14 minutes in. - On Sunday, 17 October, the Mersey Marauders,Liverpool’s only LGBT football team, were at the Bluecoat Arts Centre to lead a discussion on homophobia in football. It was part of a month-long recreation of John Lennon and Yoko Ono’s infamous “Bed-In” peace protest at the Bluecoat. The highlights from the Bed-In are now available on the Bluecoat Centre YouTube page and below:
- As a reminder, 19 February, 2011, the date of The Justin Campaign’s second annual “Football v Homophobia Day,” will be here before you know it. Events are currently being scheduled worldwide to combat homophobia in football and honor the memory of Justin Fashanu.
