Reader Contribution

September 21, 2010

To all of you who read this blog, firstly, thank you for supporting Red Card Homophobia.

We have heard from some of you who are eager to contribute to our blog, but are not part of the LiveJournal community.  We would of course love to include your input on this blog!  Here’s what you can do:

  • Write a news article (250 word minimum) on a news topic related to homophobia and football OR
  • Write an opinion article (600-800 words suggested) sharing your viewpoint or insight on some aspect of homophobia and football OR
  • Send us any informative or useful links that you find

Send any submissions and/or links to redcardhomophobia[at]gmail[dot]com.  Please source any articles or information that you use, and let us know how you would prefer your work to be credited (your full name, initials, etc). We cannot guarantee that we will publish everything  we receive, but we will do our best to include what we can.

So please send us your articles – we would love to have opinions and news from a wide range of people.  Thank you in advance for your contributions to our campaign against homophobia in the beautiful game.

I would love to contribute but at the moment am busy with work and have limited internet access. But will be doing something as soon as I get the chance. This is a great cause!

Really glad that you folks are doing this, and glad to have been able to contribute in a small way by retweeting to spread the word.

Not sure if I’ll be able to get anything done in the next few weeks (crowded fixture list and even more crowded work/school schedule), but when things slow down I’m planning on writing something over on the Offside and will send it your way as well. I’ll be sure to link here prominently to make sure that any support heads this direction.

If there’s anything else I can publicize on Twitter or over on the Offside in the meantime, please let me know.

Whenever you get a chance to write something, it’ll be fine and soon enough. Thank you for linking us. For now the link and the article are publicity enough, but if there is anything in the future we think that you might be able to help us out with, we’ll let you know.

Thanks already for retweeting us on Twitter. If you could continue to give us a shout-out on follow Fridays that’d be wonderful.

      Thanks again,
