News Round-Up

October 30, 2010

A summary of news related to our campaign:

  • The organisers of the Staffordshire University Top Fan Project, recently spoke about their research on “Thinking Allowed” on BBC Radio 4. The podcast of their appearance is now available for download here. They are featured in the second half of the show, so to listen to their portion please fast forward to 14 minutes in. If you still haven’t filled out the survey, you can do so here.
  • As a reminder, 19 February, 2011, the date of The Justin Campaign’s second annual “Football v Homophobia Day,” will be here before you know it. Events are currently being scheduled worldwide to combat homophobia in football and honor the memory of Justin Fashanu. If you are interested in scheduling your own event please visit their website for ideas and assistance.

Enjoy the rest of the weekend in football! And remember to use the hash tag #redcardhomophobia as you live tweet matches.

    Great round-up.

I loved the video. Here are gay men and women who like football as much as any straight dude. I can totally identify with that guy on the video because I was feeling pretty much the same when I watched that match, lol.
